With the kick off of the Yoiul Festival yesterday, the Holiday Season is in full swing for us here at CCP!
The Yoiul Festival gives capsuleers across the cluster the opportunity to earn rewards via the agency and in space by tackling Rogue Drone hives over the holidays.
Rewards include the usual random loot and salvage, plus bounties, along with more valuable equipment such as accelerators and Glacial Drift SKINs for those who’re looking to add to their collection!
In addition to this, with the holidays just around the corner, here’s our latest desktop background to give an EVE theme to your rig this holiday season!
2017 has been a fantastic year, and we’re looking forward to more spaceship related shenanigans in 2018 as we celebrate the 15th anniversary of EVE Online, with some big changes coming in the New Year.
From all of us here at CCP Games, to all of you across New Eden – stay safe over the holiday season, have an epic time, and of course, our warmest wishes for an awesome 2018.

We’re delighted to announce that EVE Online: Lifeblood has been successfully deployed!
The Lifeblood expansion continues a large scale industrial revolution for EVE Online that includes new Upwell Consortium Refinery class structures, as well as brand new moon mining mechanics to accompany them.
In addition to this, an all new reactions system joins the new moon mechanics to complete a pair of features that are exclusive to these new Refinery class structures.
Lifeblood also includes a whole host of improvements and changes, including Resource Wars, a new type of collaborative high-sec PvE content, as well as new Pirate Forward Operating Bases, the new Mining Ledger, improvements to The Agency, and Guristas Shipyards, which are accompanied by three brand new capital class hulls, the Caiman class Dreadnought, the Loggerhead class Force Auxiliary and the Komodo class titan.
Also included in the Lifeblood expansion is an alpha ship balance pass, which paves the way for the release of the expanded alpha skillset with the December release.
You can find out more about all these features, locate links to Dev Blogs and further content relating to them, and view the full patch notes for EVE Online: Lifeblood over on EVE Updates.
We’re happy to announce that the winter expansion, EVE Online: Lifeblood, will be deployed during an extended downtime tomorrow.
Downtime for the release of Lifeblood will begin at the usual time of 11:00 UTC, and will run for a duration of 30 minutes.
We anticipate that the cluster will be back online and accepting connections by 11:30 UTC.
Be sure to keep your eyes on the EVE Online launcher and the official forums for further information on the progress of deployment.
We would also like to remind owners of the Rattlesnake Victory Edition hulls that tomorrow will see these ships converted into SKINs.
As such, capsuleers who own them should make sure that they’re not on board them during downtime, as CONCORD have said they will not be held responsible if capsuleers who ignore this warning reconnect after downtime to find their insides on their outsides.
Similarly, crew members should also be given a full 30 minutes lunch break during tomorrow’s downtime, as CONCORD has also refused to provide materials for clean-up of crew members who remain on board during the conversion process.
Patch notes for the release of EVE Online: Lifeblood will be available once the expansion has been deployed during tomorrow’s extended downtime.
